Alexandra Locksmiths have recently fitted a bar gate to an elderly ladies house in North London after she was robbed whilst at home.
Our customer who is in her 80’s was at home last week, she has a pvc front door and had lifted the handle up from the inside thinking that the door was locked. Unfortunately not, the burglars pulled the handle down which released the multi point lock and then easily managed to pop the latch open.
Four men steamed into her home and took everything that they wanted, whilst she was left helpless.
After the ordeal our customer and her family were left feeling very vulnerable and decided to contact us to have a bar gate fitted.
We fitted a 16mm round steel bar gate to the outside of the door with a 5 lever British standard deadlock as it is a final exit door and this is a requirement by insurance companies.
Our customer was very pleased with the bar gate and her and her family now feels much safer at home.
