The Enfield Independent recently reported on an assault in Southgate, London. Police are appealing for witnesses following the crime.
On Tuesday 27th January a woman was attacked in an attempted robbery at about 9.25pm. The incident occurred in Southgate’s Trent Gardens, close to the junction on Avenue Road.
The 53 year old female victim suffered a facial injury after the attacker lunged at her with a knife. He demanded money from the lady but ran away empty handed in the direction of Avenue Road. The woman required treatment for the knife wound and for shock at a North London hospital afterwards.
Police have released a description of the wanted man. He is white, aged 20-24 years old, of slim build, between 5’6″ and 5’10” tall and has been described as ‘fresh-faced’.
