Alexandra Locksmiths were called by a customer in Hampstead Garden Suburb in London after their neighbour had been broken into.
Our customer was very frightened as five men in balaclavas had turned up to their neighbours house with a stolen motorbike and used the bike to ram it into the front door and smash it open.
She spoke to the police about this terrible crime only to learn that it was not a one off and the police had recently been called to similar crimes in the area.
After checking her insurance company she was worried that she did not have adequate security on her front door. The insurance company advised that she needed a 5 lever British Standard deadlock on her front door.
We provided a free security survey and recommended fitting an Ingersoll SC71 auto dead locking rim lock, an Ingersoll London bar and a Chubb lock to the front door.
We advised that the Ingersoll SC71 has a security feature that allows you to double lock it when the property is empty which means that if someone broke into the property they would not be able to open the from door and use it as an exit point. The Ingersoll London bar protects the strike plate for both the Ingersoll SC71 rim lock and Chubb lock also fitted to the door.
Our customer was very pleased with the work that we carried out and felt much safer in her home.
