Small Business Saturday at 10 Downing Street

Alexandra Locksmiths - Small Business Saturday at 10 Downing Street

Small Business Saturday took place on 6th December 2014. The Small Business 100 that had been selected from various fields of British industry and commerce joined together on the day before (Friday 5th) for a celebration in Downing Street, London. Alexandra Locksmiths were very proud to be involved – as you can see from the photo gallery!

The event was a great success for all concerned and consisted of a festive street fair, children’s choir and meeting lots of very interesting people. Networking with the other business owners proved to be invaluable and very informative. Supporting fellow small businesses is something that we at Alexandra Locksmiths consider extremely important. In addition to the other Small Business 100 winners, we had the chance to meet the amazing and inspirational Karren Brady and Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne, both of whom are avid supporters of the small businesses of this country.

Alexandra Locksmiths are keen that the enthusiasm resonating from last Saturday is upheld throughout the forthcoming year and for many years to come as the UK’s economy needs SME’s to thrive. Recent figures reported by the by the FSB state ….

“Small firms accounted for 99.3% of all private sector businesses in the UK, 47.8% of private sector employment and 33.2% of private sector turnover.” – source Department of Business Innovation and Skills, Nov 2014.

Alexandra Locksmiths would very much like to thank all at Small Business Saturday for this amazing opportunity and we would also like to thank our customers over the years, without which none of this would have been possible.
