Distraction Mugger – Stanmore, North West London
Alexandra Locksmiths were called by a previous customer In Stanmore North West London last week following a very devious mugging incident.
The elderly lady had been approached just a short distance from her house by a man holding a map. The man was pointing at the map and talking to her in a foreign language. She said sorry she couldn’t help and returned home but as she got to the door she realised that whilst she was trying to help the man he had dipped his hand into her bag and had taken her purse and her keys.
Understandably the lady was very shaken up by this. She had quite clearly seen his face and reported the incident to the Police. Not only did the man have her keys but he also had her purse which had information in it with her address, so we immediately went to the property and changed the locks for her.
We changed to locks to an Ingersoll SC1 rim cylinder and a union 5 lever BS3621 insurance approved deadlock.
