The Sainsbury’s Bank Money Matters Blog have produced an infographic about home security. Alexandra Locksmiths have Sainsbury’s kind permission to share this data and we thought it extremely relevant in October as it is Yale’s National Home Security Month (NHSM). The NHSM scheme was introduced some years ago, with a different theme to each of the weeks in the month. Each of the themes look at various aspects of home security and offer useful advice, to help to keep your home as protected as possible.
The first week in the NHSM, will be highlighting ways in which to keep your family, home and valuable possesions safe. Week 2 will be focusing on entrance and exist points around your property. Helping you to ensure that all of your doors and windows are as secure as possible. The third week, will be discussing the protection of all valuables in your home – from laptops to jewellery. Week 4 will be highlighting the security of your out buildings and garden. In the final week of the National Home Security Month, the future of home security will be investigated and smart home security gadgets will be reported on.
The Home Security infographic below, touches upon many of the topics that will be covered in more detail during NHSM. It includes guidance on the following aspects of securing your property:
