Era 1830/1930 Auto Deadlocking rim lock

These are Era’s top of the range rim lock or nightlatch. They are BS 3621 insurance approved locks. They come in both 40mm (1830) and 60mm (1930) size and come with a
matching cylinder and lock body in a satin chrome, polished chrome and polished brass.

Six pin cylinder with three original keys.
Security escutcheon covering cylinder with integrated finger pull which is bolted through the door from the inside. Hardened rotating plate in escutcheon to protect cylinder from being drilled open.
Latch is thrown to 20mm when door is shut to prevent lock from being slipped open.
Automatically deadlocked when door is in the closed position preventing the lock from being slipped open.
Internal handle can be locked with key.
Black snib function allows latch to be held back.

Operation
Latchbolt is withdrawn by handle from inside and key outside.
Handle can be deadlocked by key prior to closing the door and entry can always be gained by key from outside.
Latch can be held back by black snib button.
